Boath House is a listed Georgian Mansion set in 20 acres including well tended lawns, walled gardens, woodland and streams. With an award winning Michelin Star Restaurant, Boath House Hotel offers a five course gourmet menu changing daily to take advantage of seasonal produce and local specialities. The fine dining restaurant and the talents of Head Chef Charlie Lockley make eating at Boath House a uniquely enjoyable experience. The food focuses on the marriage of flavour combination and uncomplicated preparation. Roe deer, guinea fowl and halibut are seasonal treats expertly presented by Chef Charlie Lockley.
Much of the fruit, herbs and vegetables for the restaurant – and the honey – comes from Boath House’s own gardens. Boath House is surrounded by 22 acres of lawns, wildflower meadow, woodland and streams are also home to swans, wild geese, ducks and various types of Scottish native birdlife.
At Boath House we are avid followers of The Slow Food Movement. Our restaurant adheres to sustainable & environmental practices with suppliers being largely local, artisan growers, breeders, producers and foragers. Our restaurant seats 26 people and offers great views out over the lawns nd down to the lake through the large French windows. There is a private dining room which can also be booked.
The hotel’s kitchen gardens provide much of the organic fruit, herbs and vegetables for the restaurant and honey comes from our own bee hives. Local suppliers provide high quality seafood (caught and delivered daily by West Coast fisherman), as well as meat and cheeses sourced from a nearby organic dairy. Our chef has a unique style and approach. His passion, dedication and confidence are evident in his dishes. He has introduced wild foods into his highly imaginative and beautifully presented dishes using traditionally foraged ingredients such as wild mushrooms and herbs to name a few from nature’s larder.
If you enjoy afternoon tea then don’t miss Boath House’s banquet of sandwiches, home bakes, sweet treats and tea or coffee of your choice. Prosecco is also available and in the summer months tea can be taken outside on the terrace.
