Taste of Scotland

Discover some of the stars and new comers of Scotland's Restaurants

Each month we feature a handful of restaurants which we believe offer a true taste of Scotland.

The City Merchant,

Warm and welcoming is what regulars say about the City Merchant one of Glasgow's best seafood restaurants. Great steaks and delicious vegetarian dishes also feature on their menu. The set lunch is particularly good value.

Craigadam, Castle Douglas
Dumfries and Galloway

Wonderful location with a magnificient estate setting. Celia Pickup has developed game cooking at Craigadam into a true 'Taste of Scotland'. The meals are sumptuous and the desserts perhaps not for the calorie-conscious!

Mains of Scotstown
Bridge of Don, Aberdeen

Mains of Scotstown is very popular with locals and visitors who enjoy good beer as well as good food. Cullen Skink, Haggis Dumplings, Roast Fillet of Turbot and prime Scottish steaks are served in the main restaurant.

Some of Scotland's innovative food producers. (OK - so this still needs update!)
Come back in a couple of days and see the updated version.

The Restaurant
Boath House, Nairn

The restaurant at Boath House has been awarded 4AA rosettes and is one of only three in Scotland.

The Cameron Grill
Cameron House

The Cameron Grill is a stunning and stylish restaurant that has taken hotel dining to a new level.

North by North West,
Pool House

Located close to the river and the sea, guests can often observe seals, and a variety of birds whilst dining.
