Chris Stanley is our Head Chef at The Airds and has worked at 3 Rosettes level for most of his career. Chris has a passion for the west coast of Scotland and for the fresh produce available in this region. As a result guests at Airds will enjoy some sublime cuisine as the hotel continues to go from strength to strength.
Airds is located in a particularly scenic part of Scotland and offers the opportunity to visit some spectacular attractions nearby. The stunning valley of Glencoe is just 20 minutes drive away whilst the local port of Oban offers ferry connections to many Hebridean islands including Mull which offers several excellent attractions. Inveraray is also well worth a visit with its castle, the home of the Duke of Argyll, and the 18th century jail. Nearer to home is the iconic Castle Stalker sitting on its own little island in the middle of a loch and the hotel can arrange guided tours by the castle owner.
