Dating from the seventeenth century, the original farmhouse has been sympathetically restored and upgraded to provide a Baronial Dining Hall and five charming bedrooms, one of which has a unique four-poster bed. Set in a lovely Highland location and furnished with many antiques, Creagan House offers the ideal place to relax and enjoy warm Scottish hospitality and good food.
Gordon and Cherry Gunn are an experienced couple who go to great lengths to ensure their guests enjoy their food and their stay at Creagan House. This is a gem of comfort and fine food, with an emphasis on freshly prepared local produce cooked in an interesting and innovative style. Dinner is a memorable and leisurely affair at Creagan.
The Baronial Dining Room, with its grand fireplace, provides the perfect setting in which to enjoy a meal. Our chef Gordon uses all fresh produce, much of which is grown specifically for us in local small-holdings. In sole charge of the kitchen, he creates variations on classical French cooking with strong Scottish overtones. Gordon uses only the finest fresh produce, locally sourced. Meat from Perthshire, fish from Scottish ports, free range eggs from his own hens and some vegetables, herbs and soft fruit from Creagan’s own polytunnel and garden. He creates variations on French classics with Scottish overtones.
Fine food should always be complemented by good wine. We are proud of our interesting, carefully chosen, award winning wine list. The well stocked bar includes a great selection of over 50 malt whiskies.
