L’Escargot Bleu is located in the heart of Edinburgh surrounded by an exciting mix of butchers, bakers, booksellers, coffee roasters, bars and wine merchants. Take your time over the menu, soak up the French/Scottish culture with an aperitif or glass of wine and savour dishes featuring the best of Scotland with a French twist.
Scallops and beef from Orkney, Scottish wild mushrooms and vegetables from East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. The Auld Alliance is alive here thanks to l’Escargot Blue owners Betty Jourjon & Fred Berkmiller sharing their passion for food and great produce from Scotland.
Tables are close together and conversation is both animated and exuberant. l’Escargot Blue’s menu varies depending on Scoltand’s seasonal produce. Expect to find duck confit, quenelles, pigs cheeks, rib of beef cooked to perfection and served with an innovative French twist.
