Originating from the Mull of Kintyre on Scotland’s craggy west coast, the Mull of Kyntyre Cheddar is produced in the historic Campbeltown Creamery which has been producing cheese for almost 100 years. The creamery’s experienced team work to a long established recipe using the finest milk from the Kintyre Peninsula.
Rugged, bold and full of character, the Mull of Kintyre cheddar is slow aged until perfect. Firm bodied and rounded in flavour with nutty, sweet hints this one of Scotland’s best known award winning cheeses.
Perhaps it is because they go out of their way to create deliciously rich, bold and characterful cheddar, itv could be their insistence on using time honoured methods to craft this unique cheese, or perhaps it’s the remote and rugged landscape of Kintyre that adds a certain something.
