The Summer Isles Hotel is in a wonderful setting overlooking the Summer Isles and beyond to the Hebrides. Much of the food is sourced locally or home grown. The dishes are generous using fine quality Scottish produce prepared with true skill and culinary judgement. The ambience of the hotel is undemanding. People relax easily and find they are among friends.
A short A La Carte menu offers a light lunch specialising in the best of west coast shellfish daily from 12.30 – 2pm.
A five course set meal served at 8pm.
Almost everything on our menus at Summer Isles Hotel is home produced or locally caught. Scallops, lobsters, crabs, langoustines, halibut, turbot, salmon and venison are all sourced locally. We have big brown eggs from our own chucks and wholesome bread fresh from our oven – the list of real food is endless. With such wonderfully fresh ingredients our chef, Chris Firth-Bernard creates sumptuous dishes and a unique experience for even the most discerning diner.
At the side of the hotel you will find The Summer Isles Bar – the original crofters’ bar dating back to the mid 19th century. This tiny bar is open all day serving fresh ground coffee and snacks, lunch and evening meals in an informal setting. The famous Summer Isles Seafood Platter and delicious Aberdeen Angus Steaks are amongst the favourite dishes. However, Highland real ales, a huge selection of Malt Whiskies and a chat with the locals are all still available!
